Common Good Blogger Needed (student position)

The Common Good Blog is looking for a student worker to help us blog! Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours/week at $15/hour. The blog is published twice-weekly with a focus on public service and social justice-oriented jobs and events. We’d love to find someone with prior blog experience (though we can also train) and a passion for these topics to help us keep the blog running and relevant!

moderate means programThe UW Law Moderate Means Program (UW MMP) is the flagship pro bono program for students at UW School of Law. This program provides legal referrals for low- and moderate-income individuals as part of the statewide WSBA Moderate Means Program.

The UW MMP is currently recruiting interns for spring and summer 2019. Time commitment is 2-4 hours/week spring quarter, and a minimum of 6 hours/week during the summer. If you are interested in applying, please submit a resume and letter of interest to Ann Spangler at spangler@uw.edu.

Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights LogoThe Jerry Shestack Justice Fellowship is a two-year litigation-focused fellowship that is selected on a bi-annual basis by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in consultation with the Shestack Justice Advisory Committee. Jerry Shestack was an extraordinary lawyer and a driving force in advancing the cause of civil and human rights.

Law school graduates who have passed the bar and have two or more years of outstanding litigation experience and/or judicial clerkships are eligible to apply. The chosen Fellow will have demonstrated a passion and commitment to civil rights issues and public service and have shown promise of becoming an exceptional litigator.

Hadsell Stormer & Renick LLP, a civil rights law firm, is hiring an associate attorney in the firm’s Pasadena office. Applicants should have 0 to 4 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or demonstrated interest in employee and civil rights. Excellent research and writing skills and commitment to social justice advocacy are required. Spanish speaking and writing fluency a plus. Current admission to the California Bar is preferred but not required.
