Incarcerated Mothers Advocacy Project Orientation
When: Saturday, October 6
10:30 am – 2:30 pm
William H. Gates Hall, Room L201
IMAP is a coalition of law students, attorneys, social service providers, and formerly incarcerated parents who seek to change the rights afforded to incarcerated and previously incarcerated parents in Washington. We center reproductive justice and prison abolition in the work that we do.
We will be discussing prison abolition, reproductive justice (particularly for incarcerated parents), and family law 101. There will also be food! Please RSVP to Meredith Ruff (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Thursday 10/4. We recognize that this is a large time commitment, but we ask that you attend the whole thing. If this time does not work for you but you are still interested in being a part of IMAP, please let us know.
