API Chaya LogoThe Legal Intern’s duties will include: supporting advocates to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking with legal matters (immigration law, family law, protection orders and criminal law); accompanying program participants to Protection Order hearings; working with local legal aid organizations to better serve survivors; working in partnership with pro-bono attorneys assisting program participants; possibility of community organizing/engagement opportunities for interns working more hours; other tasks as assigned.
