Trustees for Alaska, a public interest environmental law firm with a busy and diverse docket, is now accepting current 2L  applications for summer legal interns for 2018. For over 40 years, Trustees has been working to protect Alaska’s environment. Trustees provides counsel to local, regional, and national conservation organizations, tribal councils and other Alaska Native entities, fishing organizations, and others in environmental and natural resource matters.

Trustees’ work generally focuses on state and federal law issues concerning clean water, public lands and wildlife, climate change, coal mining and combustion, protection of marine resources, and hard rock mining.

WSBA LogoThis position is responsible for curating editorial content for WSBA’s official publication, NWLawyer, and managing the magazine’s editorial calendar. The Editor ensures a uniform reading experience, including adherence to WSBA style and standards, for NWLawyer readers. Serves asHome project lead of the NWLawyer editorial staff and works closely with the WSBA Editorial Advisory Committee and the Communications Manager. This position requires a task-oriented self-starter.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Students seeking consideration for a Fellowship must submit their application no later than October 6, 2017. Based upon qualifications, the WSAJ Fellowship Taskforce will invite applicants to be interviewed. Interviews will be scheduled throughout the month of November. Students selected for the Fellowship will be notified in the month of December.
