UW Women’s Center Event on October 15

The UW Women’s Center, along with the UW Police, are excited to bring two presentations to campus in October pertaining to campus rape and sexual assault.

October 15’s event, “She Asked For It,” will feature acclaimed speaker Anne Munch. Ms. Munch is an attorney with 23 years of experience as a prosecutor, educator and advocate for victims of interpersonal violence.  She spent thirteen years as a prosecutor in Colorado focusing on sexual assault and domestic violence crimes.  Anne has a heart for victims, and has dedicated her professional career to assisting them in the criminal and military justice systems.  Currently, Anne travels around the world speaking, training and consulting on sexual assault and domestic violence cases.  She works extensively with the military as a subject matter expert and has developed Bystander Intervention and other prevention programs for them.  Anne is a visiting scholar at The Women’s College at the University of Denver and is a part time municipal court judge in Lakewood, Colorado.  Her enthusiasm for this topic has been described as “contagious”.

The presentation will be held October 15 from 5:30–7:30 PM at Kane Hall, Room 120.
