EarthJustice summer law clerks participate as full members of our staff and are expected to perform legal and factual research, draft research memoranda and legal documents, attend court hearings and client meetings, and other activities as our case load demands.
Qualifications: Earthjustice Mid-Pacific is looking for law clerks who have excellent research, writing and oral advocacy skills; solid academic records; demonstrated commitment to the environment; the ability to be a team player; strong work ethic, sense of initiative, and sound judgment. A sense of humor is also desired. Summer law clerks are expected to work at least ten weeks. Applications from second-year law students are generally favored, but applications from first year law students will be considered.
Salary: This is are paid positions; however, we encourage applicants to apply for work study, grants, and fellowships to supplement the budget amount that we have available.
