The Washington State Bar Association’s annual awards dinner celebrates the accomplishments of nine outstanding members of the legal profession. The event features remarks by the Chief Justice of the Washington Supreme Court, a swearing in of new members of the WSBA Board of Governors, and passing of the gavel from the outgoing to the incoming President.
The Washington State Bar Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Bar and solicits support for WSBA’s justice, diversity, and public service programs at the Annual Dinner.
Volunteers are key to the event’s success! Volunteering is a great way to get a glimpse of the annual dinner and the who’s who of Washington’s legal community. All volunteers should dress in business attire and comfortable shoes, and report on time as assigned. You’ll be appreciated and well‐fed for your time!
- FLOOR: Six to eight volunteers are needed to arrive at 4pm to help set up table displays and, later during the event, to collect envelopes after the solicitation and run them to the registration table. Once set up is complete, floor volunteers are able to mingle and network during the reception.
- REGISTRATION: Two to three volunteers are needed to arrive at 4:30pm for registration/check‐in and, later during the event, to tally and report table giving in a fast paced setting. Registration table volunteers are not free to mingle during the reception, but have the best opportunity to meet guests as they arrive.
