Korean American Bar Association of Washington 2013 Scholarship Application

The Korean American Bar Association of Washington (“KABA”) offers a $4,000 scholarship to a law student who has demonstrated a significant commitment to community service, particularly service to the Korean/Korean American community. You need not be of Korean ethnicity to apply.

JUDGING CRITERIA

All applicants will be judged on the following criteria:

a. Community service and community involvement, particularly service to the Korean/Korean
American community;
b. Academic achievement, work experience, activities, and post-law school goals; and

c. Essay.

There is no minimum G.P.A. requirement. KABA will select candidates to be interviewed.

SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

The scholarship recipient(s) will be selected and notified by the KABA Scholarship Committee.  The award will be presented at the KABA Annual Banquet in February 2013.

Timeline

Applications are DUE January 11, 2013

Finalists contacted for interviews No later than January 25, 2013

Interviews January 28 – February 1, 2013

Notifications No later than February 11, 2013
